Gebonden EN 2011 9783631616352Samenvatting
For over years a wildly held assumption has ruled debate on social composition of theatre audiences. This assumption states that in the period from late eighteenth century to Great War theatre audience was largely elite, till French Revolution chased them to opera. In this study, a empirical research is presented to test this 'master narrative'.
